Posted about boat the other day shutting down on me first time out. I checked fuel pump and and it's sucking but no fuel was getting to it. I pulled the intake line and it seemed dry. I blew air in the line to the tank and it was clear and I could hear it. I went to too off tank after to make sure it had plenty of gas and only topped off with 8 gallons. Is my fuel pump shutting down when it gets hot or something? The day I ran it and it quit, I ran it for about 30 minutes and shut off. I'm stumped

Are you sure the boat was full of fuel?
If the vent line is clogged, it will build up enough pressure to kick the pump off at the station.

Check out my post on this blog, " fuel pump on 2000 comp". I think you could be having a similar issue.

Actually, the other simple thing to check is the anti-siphon valve on the fitting to the gas tank. If it's incompetent or missing then fuel can free flow back into the tank from the line.
