Hose connection

Can someone tell me what the female hose fitting on the back of my boat is for. It's a 95 labrisa. Also there is another hose fitting on the back of the engine I'm assuming that's where the shower hose plugs into?

That would be my guess as to what the fitting on the back of the transom is. The other one, not a clue as it is a tad blurry and I am not familiar with this kind of system.

Looks like a fresh water flush system. I can't see squat from the first picture, too blurry. But does the line from the transom run into the water line for the engine? The brass thing may be a check valve so when water is pumped in it goes into the engine. And also prevents lake water from backflushing to the transom plug.

Was this boat used in Saltwater? If so, this was used to easily flush the engine afterwards. Just hook up a hose, turn it on, and fire up the engine. They are great to have for a boat that's been in salt. Super easy, and normally means the previous owner did what's right to maintain the engine.

Haugy do I hook a hose up to the one on the transom or the one in the engine compartment. I haven't really investigated too much but it looks to me like the hose for the shower is disconnected right next to the blurry pic one. Ill take better pics of it in the morning. And it was never used in saltwater to the best of my knowledge it has spent it's life in Rochester ny and it will spend the rest of its life on a small lake in Ontario Canada
