I traded my old 90 comp for a 2013 Moomba LSV yesterday and it feels like I have lost my best friend. This is a great site and I hope I dont get black listed. Thanks to all for the advise and those that I could help.

Still a Skier's Choice purchase so it's not like you went to the "Dark Side" or nothing, Congrats on the purchase and definitely need to see those pics!

I just sold my 2000 Launch on Weds that I've owned since spring of 07. Felt like breaking up with a long term girlfriend. I upgraded to a 2006 Moomba Mobius LSV.

Part of the deal with the guy I sold it to is I owe his kids wakeboard and surf lessons behind it, so I guess I won't be missing it for long.

Here's what they look like, before:

I just sold my SN2001 (86) after 13 years. I cried. I'm man enough to say it. It took me a year to put it up for sale. Owning two boats isn't all that its cracked up to be. The only thing that made me feel better was going out in my Supra and then buying stuff for it! FAE, LEDS, new stereo system and now surfgates (just posted the start of the build).

CornRickey - I like the way you think! I do believe a shopping spree for the boat is needed! I will post pics tonight of the new boat today?

Here is a picture of the new boat - after a day on the lake and watching the oldest and a friend wake surf - I can honestly say I am over the little comp :cool:12311

How much did you end up getting for your launch? i think i will look at that year and model when i decide to get a larger boat.

Hey - you can surf behind a Comp.... Have to use a real surf board but it can be done!

If selling the old boat and getting a new one is like getting a new girlfriend, I like the new girlfriend, she's real prettty.

I was asking $23,000 and I got $22,500. It was in pretty good condition with only 530 hours on it. Needed the rear seat re-done, but other than that everything was good. I included all of my ballast bags and pump, which was close to $1000 new and I wasn't planning on including them, and also free wakeboard/surf lessons for his kids lol! I had multiple calls on it every day, there are like no wakeboard boats on the market right now in that price range, at least around here. Everything on the market is selling pretty quick. It was hard to even find a new boat, had to go out of state because it's slim pickins in MI right now.

So I'll ask. Since I can't remember your Comp's layout, what color is it?

And if you don't mind my asking, what did they give you for the Comp? I'm curious what they'll be asking. You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

New boat looks good, go ahead and invest in some "Hot Sauce" boat detailer now. All black, you're going to need it.

Haugy - it was red and beige - white with red bead on the interior. They gave me $5500 for the boat - same that I paid for it one year ago.. I did add a lot to this boat and I can tell you they got a better boat than when I purchased it - new stereo, speakers, fixed the old boat up outside and inside... It is at Atlanta Marine, Buford, GA - 511 hours on the boat.
I have some of the Hot sauce - It is a pain to keep clean but well worth it when you see it shine...

Kma4444,
You have a sharp boat!! Sweet color scheme!! You are right the black is shiny and cleaning it will keep you in shape - but it is so worth it!

Yeah Kriley, I played with the color choices on the boat builder part of the site and couldn't come up with anything I liked any better than what they had done on the one we got. Very lucky that the dealer had it just the way we would have ordered it anyway. SC is doing great work on the Moomba/Supra line. We shopped and test drove others but it was love at first sight with our 242. Almost a year in and we couldn't be happier. I bet you will feel the same way with your new toy as well.

Remember to stretch before aggressive polishing, helps with the sore afterwards :p Congrats!!!!
