Boatmate trailer 2003 break away cable repair.....

Was pulling my Launch from the house using the Jeep TJ. When unhooking forgot about the break away cable which was attached to the Jeep when I drove away. Heard the boing from inside and swore inside my head. Any idea how these things are attached inside the mechanism ?? Googled the problem with little help.:mad:

Polished the boat using a foam 3000 grit pad from 3m, followed with a compound/polish in one. Wow what a finish on the gel coat. Took about 4hours to the whole boat.
