Ground Wire

I lost all my pics from taking the boat apart.... where does the main ground from the battery hook to the engine???

There are dozens of likely locations. Mine is on a transmission bolt, but you can find any ground on the engine you'd like.

Clean spot under a bell-housing bolt.

Mine is on the front of the port side head.

ground it to the motor wherever it looks the cleanest. and not to a small 1/4-20 bolt. use a bigger one.
