I have been chasing down a leak at my transom and have located it. I noticed when the boat is coming off my lift (a front hinged Float Air) or off the trailer that I have some water cascading down the transom when looking aft through the rudder inspection hole beneath the rear seat. When the boat is just sitting level in the water there is no water coming in. I experimented with how far in the water the transom was while the lift went down and found out it started when the attachment point for the turnbuckle to the wake plate went under the water. Does anyone know how this attaches? There are no screws on the exterior side of the transom. Is there a nut on the backside or does this part just self tap through the transom? I can't see high enough up through the access hole and I don't know if there is space between the transom and the gas tank if I take the ski locker out. I appreciate the help.
