ok, just sold my boat. after i pay off a few bills, i have about 5k to find a good rebuildable supra sunsport/saltare that will run for the summer. i am a boat mechanic, so projects are ok. vdrive conversion might be in the works, depends on how much i can get one for. found one in vegas for about 5k, and one in phoenix for about 2k. getting these people to return my calls is a pain in the butt tho. who knows of any deals out there right now?

What's your location and how far are you willing to drive?

chatting with the one in vegas. there is also a cheep one in phoenix that needs all interior. travel all depends on how much. i have about 6k for the purchase including travel. so if that will get me a 5k boat i can drive about 1000 miles to get one. the one in cali looks promising, needs a ton of interior. holy cow i feel sorry for the boat in ny. a little to far for that junker.

dang, that one is cool! a little high for my price.

decided on the one in vegas. gotta take the gamble. its what vegas is for after all isnt it? if that one doesnt pan out, there is another one in phoenix for 2200 that im going to drive down and check out. if not i will come home and save more money for something different. leaving about noon on friday, gonna drive as far as i can get, crash out in the excursion then finish the drive saturday. actually had the shocks replaced today for the trip as well as an oil change done in the X. not a bad way to spend $700...

the owner says "the floor is solid, no rot anywhere" we will see how true that is. if so i think 5500 is a decent buy as the interior looks to be in good shape. planning on taking an impeller, outboard fuel tank, spark tester, set of point files, basic tools, a hose and a fake a lake. anything specific to look out for besides the normal stuff?

could mods move this out of the classified section as i think its going to end up a build/project thread?

Or nothing at all !!! Gold country one is very nice and yes more than the NV one but better all around. Offer what you can perhaps the owner needs to move quick.

I'd say that if there is a Supra anywhere in the country with dry stringers, it would probably be in Vegas. Dry desert air and no rain seems like it could be a lucky combination. Good luck!

I would definitely go for the Red Sunsport in Gold Country over the others. He may come down on that price.

The one in Vegas is good too. Good luck.

I may have to add a padded cooler to my boat to match those original ones. Get a yeti, throw a padded cushion on top to match. 8)

I offered the Cali boat guy 5500, same as the Vegas boat. He kinda laughed at me. Guess its the Vegas boat for me.
