Does anyone know how to definitively tell which Ford 351 engine I have in my 1989 Supra Conbrio? After reading and reading about it, I'm still not 100%. 12448

The serial number cut out. It's 292531
The reason for asking is I'm trying to replace the existing distributor with a new electronic one matched with a new coil, plug wires and plugs. I saw the electronic conversion kit that would work. Here's a pic of the distributor.12449

Should be a Windsor....easiest way to tell is look at the valve covers and spark plugs. If the valve covers have 6 bolts and has 5/8" spark plugs, it is a Windsor. If they have 8 bolts and run a 14 mm plug, it is a Cleveland.

Thanks for the reply. I emailed PCM and called Mallory/Prestolite twice. The only info so far was the difference in distributors is 1/4" from the manifold mount to top (7 1/2" in one and 7 3/4" in the other). I'll wait til tonight and check the plugs and bolts I guess.

Received an email from PCM confirming it's a Windsor. New Mallory breakerless electronic distributor ordered through jegs. Coil, plugs, and wires to follow...
