Bilge buttons

Hey everyone. I have two bilge buttons on my dash. Bilge 2 turns the pump on and off does anyone know what bilge 1 does? It's a 95 la brisa

On my saltare it is for auto bilge

Can't believe I didn't think of that. I should leave that one in the on position all the time?

Only if your bilge has a float and is wired correctly. Mine didn't have a float and wasn't wired correctly so i added a float and just leave it on when in the water.

Mine also has two bilge switches; one for each pump. When the battery switch is in the on position both bilge pumps are in auto mode. If the battery switch and I turn the bilge switch to on, it turns the pump on and the auto mode is over ridden.
