So I'm a day early. It'll be okay.

I've got both good and bad. The first pic is from a week ago when the boat didn't run so good. The second pic is from this weekend when we had a great day on the water.

Thought mine was bad. "Holy imploding impellers, Batman!"

Yeah, I was surprised that this is what happened about only two seasons of use. There was nothing left. And all those pieces collected at the neck of the housing leading to the thermostat.

Some pics from today. We are still "no wake" today even though we are lower than we were last week before they restricted the water to no wake. So, we motored up to the sand bar and hung out in the water tossing a football around.

Huh. They make the whole lake a wake free zone? I've never heard of such. I guess the shore line gets too beat up when the water's high?

Yeah, the shoreline gets pounded and I'd say probably 90% of the homes up here have sea walls too so that makes it worse. Just another case of poor planning by the corps I guess. We are below the water level when they decided to restrict to no wake but I guess the busiest weekend they have no problem leaving it restricted. All the local business are screaming because they're not getting any traffic and therefore no revenue.

Been fighting a tranny leak. Put the boat in w/o the plug for a minute. Whoops. No biggie I thought, pulled it out, put the plug in, and let the bilge do its job.

Realized that my tranny could leak water IN just as easily as it leaked fluid out. After a couple wakeboard jumps it let us know it wasn't happy and I had the "strawberry milkshake" on the dipstick.

trolled it back to the dock and spent 3 hours that afternoon doing this:

This was all reinforced, insulated, fiberglassed and then rhino-lined. An expensive cooler but worth it to keep your essentials cold on a hot day! We did have 10 beers left over (out of 14 cases.) They were still cold the evening of July 5th when they were finished and it was 90F both days..... ;)

Convinced my wife drive the boat last night. Last year she ran over the rope, causing it to wrap around the prop and drive shaft extensively. Had to do several dives under the boat with goggles and a pliers in busy water. Took a lot of persuasion from me to get her back in the driver seat, but all was well!

Then - BAM - Looks like I'm out of commission for a while - tore the medial and lateral calf muscles on the slalom. The calf on my back leg just gave way in the middle of a hard turn. The water was glass & guess I was feeling my oats a bit too much, I just had to dip that elbow one more time... Doc says two weeks in a boot & then 4-6 weeks to rehab. It sucks to get old!

Okie, it's awesome to have her ride behind the boat. She was talking trash about it until she got behind it. Now she loves it!

Sybrmike - sorry about the leg. We're not as young as we used to be, but it's fun trying.

Sorry to hear as well! I'm only 33 and I can tell I'm no longer a spring chicken. I used to be able to do 5-6 sets of wakeboarding and now after only 2 I'm bushed! Hope you heal as fast as RG3 or AP!

Trayson--Very true! You got heckled pretty good for yours! I wonder what the "purists" will say about mine.... ;)

I know how some of you guys feel about naming a ski boat,

My boat has a name: "My Favorite Child" -- it frosts a few of my kids, oh well!

I always wanted to name my boat "The Other Woman" -- but the boss wanted "The Other Man" -- no way am I driving a boat with that name, so we didn't name a boat for 12 years - until our oldest child (now 30) told us to name our boat "My Favorite Child" - it stuck and the last 2 have had that name.

:o)

Okie-Thank You sir and yes I have put a lot of time in on that boat! It was the blue and off white SunSport skier we are very happy with her. :) The hardest part was the stringers!

That's great! It's amazing how much people can fall in love with water sports. Well, tell her good job and she looks good riding back there.

That's the color mine is. Yeah, it's a lot of work, for sure. You're good work shows. We'll have to meet up some time. I used to live up your way, but now live down near OKC.

Good looking boat! Being from Douglasville, you should have been at our Southern Supra Reunion (https://forum.supraboats.com/showthread.php?14385-Sign-up-TODAY-for-the-2013-Southern-Supra-Reunion&p=98155#post98155) in Chattanooga! We needed a Comp in attendance. Maybe next year.

Thank you, i bought it shortly after the event :( but i plan to attend next year.

A bunch of clowns enjoying our almost private lake. I am still the full time driver due to a gunshot wound to the hip back in march, by a friend that needs to go back to gun safety training. Injury aside, next summer Ill be able to ride again, until then just enjoying the sun as the driver!

Since my boat was down I met up with a local forum guy and got to go out on his moomba LSV (hey, it's still Skier's Choice, right???).

He showed me the proper way to hydrate while surfing: (him in the pic, not me--I still need more practice to work up to that level)

And that evening my wife (who has a big time fear of the water and has never been off the swim platform) tried wakesurfing for the first time. It took me jumping in the water beside her to give her assurance and to make sure everything went well, but she got up on her first pull and rode on top of the water for a short distance. This was a HUGE milestone for her and as you can tell, she was really excited as we celebrated "Life is better on the water" that evening:

Beat Taco - where are you? I expected your 2013 level pic to be higher, not lower. Our lakes have been low in the south for several years, but with all the rain this year, everything is full.

Pics are from Shasta Lake in Northern California, record low rain and snow from January to May this year. It seemed you got our rain this year from watching the weather!

Pretty much everything in TX is low. We were holding strong at my home lake until about 3 weeks ago and now we have been on a steady decline.
