Ha Guys,

I have a 14 and 16 year old and I need to buy new bindings for them, I have the old style with no strings or velcro and they are a PITA to put on. I dont know anything about whats available so feel free to educate me so I can get them both something good.

Thanks,

Fran

I am very partial to Hyperlite products. I have two Hyperlite boards both with Hyperlite bindings on them. Might start out by looking at the Remix boot here. http://www.hyperlite.com/wakeboard-boots-remix.php

I have the Focus boot on my wakeboard.

Shop around for a good price on these if you can though.

I just got a set from Overtons for 100. Obrien system wakeboard boot for the public board.
Depends what you want to spend. I where size 10 and they were snug, but a girl that wears size 7 fit also.

CWB makes some bindings that have a hinge on the rear highback. They are similar in concept to FLOW snowboard bindings. They have laces that you can loosen/tighten that are over the front of the foot as well as some above the ankle.

With the hinge it's SUPER easy to get into these. They open up nice and wide for you to put your foot into, and then you flip the lever and get a really snug fit for good performance.

I kinda like the idea of these over boots (not that I've even tried boots), because it seems to me that the hinged ones with open toes are going to get you a better amount of adjustability and accomodate more people that just the one that has that specific shoe size.

These are the ones I have:

Here are some at Evo for $150. You can see the cable and the lever at the back of the binding...
