Okay, since it's almost the 4th and a big lake weekend, let's play a game.
Guess what it is. You must guess exactly what the item is. You can't say "boat parts" or "engine parts". Obviously I can't show you the whole thing, otherwise it's too easy. :D
It is for the boat.

hmm thats a good one. Doesn't look old enough to be part of my boat.....

Just the metal part or also what is behind it that is textured and black?

I'll give a hint, the black stuff is foam that it was packed in. Not part of the part.

Bow light?
What I was thinking but if it continues the whole way around like that then it can't be a bow light LED.
I'm with dirtydawg, looks like some kind of thru hull, or maybe a billet steering wheel center cap?

A mounting adjustment pin for the throttle or trans linkage. Its got a threaded hole in the center and usually held in with a cotter key.

That's close enough for me!

Camera phone stinks for pictures...though I think it might really be an operator issue. This is the old throttle linkage that came out of my Comp last week.
Will add the next round in the am..... Will take a HD pic too :) Boats are all at the shop.

A part for the center windshield hinge?
Great job Villion. Its a little clip which holds the centre windshield in place. If you ever try to remove it look for the tiny screw in the center of the hinge.
