FAE exhaust question

I was wondering if anyone knew what keeps water out of the exhaust system with a fresh air exhaust system?

there is a 8 to 10 vertical section.that goes down for it opens up. I have had mineon since april and love it. Night and day difference with noise and exhaust smell while surfing and sitting in the rear of the boat. went for a boat ride last night and we got all the way around the lake because we could cruise faster and still talk due to less noise.

No need to keep water out of the exhaust system - it will fill up to the waterline with any system.
