84 Comp

I have been thinking about a Comp boat for some time now . My wife still loves to ski and my other boats dont have very good ski wakes. About a month ago we found a 84 here on the forum I have been watching it for some time as the price kept dropping . I just couldnt justify the 600 mile one way trip . When it hit 2500 I couldnt resist so off we went to West Virgina. The boat was rough but in better shap than I expected . It had stringers put in 7 years ago interior needs to be redone but still useable exterior faded but no fiberglass damage . The engine wouldnt start so I made a few quick adjustments and she came alive. All seemed mechanicly sound except for water in the trans so I bought it. A month later and she is 95% a thrill to drive and the wife loves the ski wake. Here are the things done so far
1- new points
2- change oil and filter
3-flush trans 4 times replace cooler
4-Starter relay new brushes
5-battery and cables
6-repair bilge pump and blower wireing
7-carb overhaul
8-oil sender
9-fuel sender
10 compleat detail inside outside including wet sand and buff
11- new Supra wave

The trailer is a converted IO trailer it pulls great but not too pleasing to the eye . I would rather have a single axle trailer but can't justify the cost since I only tow 1/10 of a mile,
