Pls help ! 2 problems im having, first is the ignition switch keeps cutting out everything's good i.e power etc. then complete shut down wait 30-45 seconds and it will work again ???? Secondly when I engage my throttle (fwd) she wont want to go below 12 mph which poses some difficulty when parking in my slip ?? Any help will do?

Are you sure its the IGN switch. It could also be the 50 amp breaker on the rear of the engine. Have you tried to lower the idle on the carb?

Yep you can hear it trip/break when you are driving, but I will have a look at 50 amp, as far as the idle goes it's low in nuetral but when you ease into drive it just goes to 12-15 mph ??

Does it go into a high idle if you pop it in neutral and advance the throttle beyond the idle detent?

If its stock it will have a 3 term switch Batt, starter and Ign. I put a 4 term in my 89 the 4th term is an accessory term that way I can run the radio only when the key is turned to the left. You should be able to find them at skidim, West Marine or most auto parts stores. Your idle speed should be 650-700 in forward gear. Disconnect the throttle cable from the carb set the RPM then reconnect the cable you may have to adjust the cable to fit the ball on the carb
