When will supra website be updated with the 2007 boat pics and configuator? My dealer tells me the 2007 sunsports will feature the 2006 Launch Hulls? I am planning to order a 22SSV and want some more details...

I'm not sure when the website will be updated. As far as the hulls go, the Sunsport 20v is the same hull as the Launch 20 SSV, the Sunsport 22V is the same hull as the Launch 22SSV, and the Sunsport 24V is the same as the Launch 24SSV. The only new hull for 2007 is the 22 series. The differences are that the Launches are playpen seating and the sunsports are walk-through. The Sunsports also have steps in the back in replace of one of the seats. Feel free to email me about any hull questions or anything about the 22SSV. [email protected]

Jon what year 22ssv do you have? I test drove the dealers sunsport 2006 22V and skied behind the launch 21V and the 2006 sunsport is clearly a different hull than the launch in 2006. The interior layout is very different as well. I like the launch interior with the wrap around rear bench and larger draft of the launch, but I do not like this playpen concept. I am hopeful Supra simplifies their line by moving to the launch hull for both modles then differentiating the Launch with the playpen, and the Sunsport with the wake thru.

I don't own a 22SSV. However, I am a dealer for Supra. The Sunsport 22V in 2006 was the same hull as the Launch 22SSV. The Launch 21V does not have a Sunsport version. The Launch 21V hull and the Sunsport22V/Launch22SSV hull are entirely different.

So again, in 2006 here are the same hulls:

Comp=Launch 20
Sunsport 20V=Launch 20SSV (actually same hull as Comp and Launch 20 as well)
Launch 21V shares no hull
Sunsport 22V=Launch 22SSV
Sunsport 24V=Launch 24SSV


For 2007 it is the exact same. Keep in mind that the Sunsport 22V/Launch 22SSV was totally reshaped in 2007 though.

In other words sstsg, You want to look at the sunsport line in the '07 preview. Here's a question though: Are the steps in the Sunsport line an option so you could have the extra seat?
