Hey there;

I noticed the lift loops are both loose on my 88 comp. is there a trick to tightening them back up, or anything I need to be aware of?

for the front, you have to crawl all the way under neath... dont know what the older ones are like... My comp doesnt have a rear lifting ring, it does have 2 smaller tie downs tho... My CC has 2 lifting rings, have no idea how they are held in because in 89 they took away the front hatch for storage and inspection of the front bracket. Have no clue about the rear... only thing I know is 2, 1942 1 ton Budget lifts lift my 3500lb CC with ease ;)

Should be a simple twist clockwise of the lifting ring to tighten it down. Works on mine.

My 87 comp has a second nut on it for holding tight, I took the rear vent in the storage compartment off and you have access to these nuts to tighten I think one is a nyloc ( going off memory). My 10 year olds hands fit perfect in all these tight spots and he gave me a hand.
