Boat is located in Antioch, IL
$1500.00

Hello all,
I am selling this 1988 Supra Saltare as a parts boat because, well I am taking parts off of it that I need. Which I will list below.

Here is a video of boat running this is from Saturday September 21st, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS-NlHWb6Hs&feature=youtu.be

I do not have much history on boat as I just purchased Saturday for parts only, what I can tell you is that the floor is solid, boat runs and drives, runs pretty good, hour meter says 1200 hours but I have no idea if that is accurate or not, previous owner had for 7 years, and he does not know if it has been rebuilt, Boat is in rough shape it has been put together with different color interiors, there is no bow wrap around seating, at one time a tree fell on top and damaged drivers side dash, fiberglass work was not done very good at all.

I DO have the title for boat and trailer, trailer title says home made trailer.
What I am taking,
glove box, and cover.
two storage glove boxes, the two side ones.
fuel tank
exhaust manifolds, reason for video of it running...
swim platform
passenger seat base and possible engine cover seat base.

What you get everything else, I do have two front railings for the bow, ones in pics of boat are bent but I do have a set of straight ones.
Boat could be restored if you wanted.

I would prefer to sell whole boat as it sits with the remaining parts, I am going to try that for the next couple of weeks and see what happens.
I will respond as fast as I can to questions, however I will be out of the country 9/24-10/2. I should be able to check post while I am there, if I
cannot I apologize, please be patient and I will respond as fast as I can. I am posting some pics now I will try to get some more before I head out.
Thank you

I am asking $2500.00

Did that damage happen recently? I think I have seen this boat out on the water a few times.

If you boat on the chain you have seen it out, damaged happened years ago.

Wow, that boat looks tired. Real tired.

A couple of questions. You state the dash has been crushed, can we see a picture of it? Are you redoing another Saltare?

And why are you taking the exhaust manifolds and the swim platform? You have a running boat. Albeit in very bad shape, a running boat. For that I can see the $2500. You make it non-running and also take one of the hardest parts to replace (platform) and one of the most expensive components on the engine it's going to be hard for me to come up to that number.

What is the brown square patch under the keel roller in the side profile picture?

Yes I agree looks very tired, My $2500.00 is not a firm # by any means, just a starting price, I will get pics of the dash up this afternoon, it is not crushed now but was at one time, repaired now but very poor job.

Yes I have a Saltare I am redoing, I bought it with damage repaired the damage, rebuilt the engine, which was allowed to freeze, which cracked both manifolds, the reason I need them.
The other parts listed I need to complete.

I would gladly leave manifolds on for a purchaser to hear run, but would need to remove them before it left my driveway.
attached is pic of Saltare I am redoing, and dry fit of my engine, reason dry fit... I wanted to use remote oil drain but it sits about 1/2" off of bottom of boat, so that is not going to work...

Brown patch is algae..

I tried replying to this earlier with a couple pics, not up yet...

The dash is fully intact, it just was not a very good repair, I will post pictures this afternoon.

Yes I am redoing another Saltare, I need the manifolds because mine got froze and cracked, also rebuilt my 454.

I need the swim platform because I do not have one for mine, mine had a removable one which someone stole from insurance company lot.

Brown square patch is an algae stain, I know it looks like a repair but it is not, I will double check and confirm with pics.

The grey one is original paint very well taken care of, this is the one that was on ebay last winter with the fire damage, all that is fixed, hull is beautiful. Interior needs a few pieces fixed other than that really nice, all wood everything was redone before the small fire, I did not work on it all summer spent my time boating, will finish this fall/winter for spring.

Your gray boat looks very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of that one....

I think $2500 for the damaged one might be a bit on the high side. That trailer isn't worth much -- it's too small for the Saltare, doesn't have the bunks set up properly and I wouldn't trust that tongue for a boat this heavy to even drag down the block.

Good luck!

OH HOLY CRAP. Man I saw the first pic of the dash and gauges and said "oh that's not too bad, just some scuffs". Then I saw the next image. WOW, dat is bad.

I'm out. I was considering this boat, but no way now. The only thing valuable on that boat is the engine and windshield. That's it, the rest are all small parts. Man, good luck. That poor boat had a rough life. That thing is going to take WAY more than normal to get back to even 80%.

Can't wait to see the finished Gray one. I didn't think they did that color combo on the Supra back then. All gray, sides and lower hull. Are you sure it's not paint?

id buy it for the right price if it was closer, that trailer would probably fall apart on the way home though.

I know the trailer is not great but I do not think there would be any issue with it getting the boat home.

Remember $2500.00 is asking price, asking not firm. Thanks,
Grey one is very nice, I am going to try to get it completed by end of month, will not be 100% but will be close as I need to get it done it is sitting in my shop where I need to store my other boat over winter. I will post lots of pics when complete
