Took Holley 4061 carb off to have rebuilt, and it looks like the spacer has never been off. The bolts seem to be fairly corroded going through spacer. I've soaked with
penetrating oil and it's soaking.

Not sure how to get it loose, rubber hammer? Pry bar?

I mean, it does need to come off right? And, have new gaskets installed between the carb/spacer and spacer/intake? Ski D.I.M. talks about getting one spacer gasket along with rebuild kit.

What would be the best way to do this simple - but intimidating - task? Last thing I need to do is bend a carb stud or something.

Thanks,

Grover

If you give it a few taps should come right off. I'm guessing the heat fused it on.

Set one side on a block of wood, and hit the spacer with a rubber mallet. Never metal on metal, and never on concrete.

It will take a bit of love to get it off. Wood and rubber mallet you can wack on it pretty hard before you do any damage.

Thanks much. That should get me going again.
