Blue skies, sunshine, cute wife, sacks, surfing!!! This may be one of my last fair weather outings but at least we're living it up this awesome October Weekend!

Found a leafy branch in the river while riding, so I decided to take it for a surf.

Riding home through the houseboat no wake zone. A light jacket and my heater on the feet and I was quite comfy. Enjoying the glow of the blue LED's.

By the time we were out of the water, it was about 8pm and the wife informed me that she wasn't making us dinner that late, so she took us out for a late dinner. We ate at a local brewpub that had patio seating looking out over the river we were just playing on.

And some carnage too! Love this action shot of the surf crash. I think the wake ate him!

And in case you didn't see it on my other post:

We didn't see it happen, but we arrived at the ramp to see 2 tow trucks and the carnage. I guess the driver jack-knifed hard and it screwed up his SUV bad (enough to require a tow and I think it had broken out windows) and if you look closely, he now has a BREAKAWAY tongue on the trailer!!!!!!!!

We're not doing many water sports, but we're still on and in the water most weekends. Just enjoying relaxing on the water with little to no agenda.

13336 New to the forum, finally pulled our Supra Launch out of the lake in the PNW on Sunday. Water temp was 54 and we boarded for about a hour with no wet or dry suites. Wasn't all that bad. Coworker of mine saw this carnage on the Columbia River about 10 minutes north of Tri Cities this weekend. Hopefully this pic shows up?

Nice. I need to pick up a wetsuit soon just don't want to spend $100 on mine and then $100 on the girlfriends. Wheres the best place to get them? Also trayson are those led lights in your gauges? It looks good. Where did you order them from? Hey blackstang welcome to the forum. I also have a supra launch but mine is a 2000. What year is yours?

I got my Oneill 4/3 I believe from Pleasuresports (http://www.pleasuresports.com/oneill-psycho-1-zen-zip-4-3-4044.html). Was under $244 when I ordered and free shipping. Suit is a little thick but pretty flexible and not overly restrictive. Have used it down to about 45* and been happy with it.

I know it probably doesn't help many people here, but I was at The House clearance center last week and they had mens and womens wet suits for $60.

We changed wakeboard wednesday to new trick wednesday. Air temp today was 75 water temp 64.

Took my buddies barefoot nautique with the barefoot boom. My one buddy learned to barefoot or tried to. And I was able to finally get up on a wakeboard.

Beautiful day on the lake. Water was down about 5 feet. The feds started dropping it to the winter pool level, but then they were furloughed. So it wasn't too bad. The docks at the ramp I usually use were out. But the concrete one was usuable. Just about 4 feet above the boat. But we a great couple hours on the water. No spotter so no boarding today. Hopefully I get a more reliable crew next year. lol

Technically, wouldn't that make you more cold blooded as you would be more susceptible to temperature changes? :D

I could have gone out this past weekend, 85 degrees and sunny. But we did the fall pumpkin thing with the boys. I'll probably put the boat up next weekend. I just don't have the time right now.

Sure. I don't know which way it goes. We've always used it to describe the temp that our blood likes. Warm!

Water temp was down to 60 where we were riding. However, I'm feeling pretty lucky as we have a spot available to us that has 20 to 50 foot depths year round. And the ramps I use on the Columbia river really never close or get too shallow.

Air temp was around 50 at noon, but got into the 60's by the time we were done.

Getting more confident on the surf board. Decided to drop a knee and ride on it like that for a bit.

One of the gals on the boat works at a local dance club where they have bottle service for the VIP tables. They had a player from the Portland Trailblazers there on Saturday night that threw down for a $750 bottle of Dom that they barely even touched. She recorked it and brought it with her. So, when we got back to the houseboat, we used it to celebrate her finally getting up for the first time on a wakeboard!

My wife moddeling the Dom! It even had a battery powered lumenescent label on it!

I lost my gopro a couple weeks ago. Took it off the tower and sat it down. Drove away and never picked it up from where I sat it, and it must have bounced off on the road somewhere. Lost to never be seen again. Bothered me not having it, so I found a used one on craigslist just so I would have one. Tomorrow looks like it will be the last wakeboard wednesday of the year, even though it is tuesday. We are going to make it New Trick Tuesday. After that looks like highs in the 50's. I will winterize her soon and park her. Time to get some work done around the farm before it gets too muddy to do anything.

Is that a LF Fish surf board? If so, how do you like it?

We went out on the 13th. The weather in northern GA was still pretty awesome.

My buddy was riding on his birthday when he caught an edge after landing. The best we can tell is that his right foot came out of the binding. This allowed the board to come around and attempt to scalp him. I was really lucky he didn't knock himself out as out spotters were under 5.

After seeing what looked like a shark attack amount of blood. He was able to get himself on the boat. Once we had pressure on it, the bleeding subsided to a manageable level.

Two hospitals and 13 staples later, he was all put back together again. I guess it was a freak deal, but I think we may start wearing helmets.

Hopefully, he will heal up in time for our thanksgiving ride. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/23/nu7eza4y.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/23/tu2emeva.jpg

Ouch! Glad he's ok, that must have been a little scary for everyone on the boat and him.

We had an accident like that last year at Allatoona. My 18yr old son took a fall and did not come out of the bindings but still the board edge smacked him good in about the same location as your pic. Same result. That much blood sure did get my attention quick! Glad your friend is ok.

Yeah, I got it new during this season. It's incredibly stable on the water and it has a lot of forward rocker so it's hard to sink the nose and submarine the board. I have the 5'6" board. It's great, although it's not everyone else's fav on the boat. But it's definitely a goto board for beginners--especially ones that are bigger. If I had to do it all over again, I'd just as soon have the 5'0" board because I'm only about 160. So, if you're looking to buy a new fish and down for the 5'6 like mine, then just buy mine with the money you were gonna spend and I'll use that money to get into the 5'0! hahaha!

It's a fun board for carving and it sticks to the water like it's glue.

Yesterday. air temp in the upper 60's and water temp was 58-59. Getting colder. I think a few more cold nights will test my resolve. Ugh!

One of our friends getting a brief freeride. He is actually working to change himself from Goofy to Regular. that's dedication! And he mentions that things don't come as easily after 50!

We had a mascot yesterday. Lilly the surf dog! (okay, it was too cold to have her in the water, but she makes a great spotter!)

Well, I almost believed the weather forecast of cloudy, not to warm, and even some rain. BUT, when sunshine hit my face, we decided we needed to chance it. Especially since I had my son for the weekend and family boating time is so amazing.

I surfed and surfed and surfed... And when the water looks like this, I even finished the day with a wakeboard set. water's down to around 56/57, and we're gonna see a couple of nights in the 30's this week so I'm sure it'll get even colder. (wishing I had a drysuit).

Then we stopped by a friend's houseboat. He wasn't home, but I'd left some stuff over there. Since his boat was parked in his spot off his rear deck, I moored up next to the scrap wood pile. I did make it a little nicer before I left though. What I wouldn't do if I'd had my cordless impact, cordless skill saw and a box of wood screws!

Is that Lanier Michael? I've never seen it that smooth if so.

Yes rob its Lanier. Like most lakes you have to pick the time and area to get good water. This late in the season the whole lake is good as long as there is no wind. In the summer the further north you go the better the water is. If we travel 1/2 hour from home we will have good conditions all day. We just start early 7am and we are done by 930am before the masses even get up on weekends. I have never been a local before its great to know the lake so well.

My dad, brother, buddy ryan, and I competed in the Austin Dam 2 Dam Barefoot race last weekend @ Lake Austin, TX. We got whooped but had a great time! Supra ran great for the 14 mile race. It was supposed to be 20 miles but water conditions prohibited us from using part of the lake (our feelings were not hurt). We plan to go back again next November. Search Dam 2 Dam on youtube for videos. There is a great bunch of skiers down there!
