Well, not sure if this has been done here before but check in if you're a fellow Ontario resident (or Canadian, I wont discriminate!)

Figure this should pass some time until the water warms up and some meet-ups can be planned on some local lakes. Also post progress of your projects and where you boat!

Did you drink a Canadian brand beer or whiskey? If so, sure!

My family has a camp about 45 minutes northwest of Sault Ste. Marie. It is, by far, my favorite place on earth. I'm also hoping for honorary member status.

I too think this is one of the nicest places on the planet. My brother in law has a cottage just to the NE of the Sault. Here is a pic for those who have never seen the beauty.

For the 2015 Calendar perhaps we should have a GTG IN Feb. and bring the boats for a photo op on the frozen lake..... I can see it now, A bunch of supras with their owners in santa suits on snowboards getting pulled by their wives driving the truck.

That would be hilarious! I'll even bring my pond hockey gear.

Forgot to mention in my original post, I am in Milton.

I went up to my cottage two weeks ago and couldn't believe the snow up there. My trailer was barely visible. Boat looked like it was floating on the snow.

Just noticed the thread. I'm in Guelph, but my boat is at my in-laws cottage 30 minutes north of Kingston and about 15 minutes drive from Cusefan78's place. Too bad the lakes aren't linked, but we're land locked on our lake. I was up there just after the ice storm and cleaned off the snow on the boat (sitting in the open with the snap on cover). With all the snow we've had I'm hoping it lived through the winter, my first visit won't be until early April.

Thanks man, looks like I may be down the weekend of April 12 and probably Easter (April 19). No hurry though, I won't need the dist right away. The way things are going the ice won't be off the lake until June any ways.

Abay. I'm on a island and my snowmobiles are put away for the year so I'm waiting for the ice. Hoping late April

Just went up this weekend, I compared the photos from last year and there was more snow in April this year than Feb last year. There were some guys out ice fishing while I was working on the boat. At least it survived the worst winter since it was built with nothing but a snap cover.

Yeah I wish I could get to my cottage. 25" of ice and it's broken away from shore. Looks like no cottage for me till may. Island cottages are a pita!
