View Full Version : Muffler/Silencer 2000 Supra Launch

I am working on a 2000 Supra Launch which I just picked up and I noticed the boat does not have mufflers/silencers. Someone installed straight pipes. Can anyone tell me what muffler/silencer came stock or would work on this boat.

No issue with what is there. Sounds a lot like my old Ski Nautique. I am just interested in a quieter ride.

Skidim sells a few different size/style mufflers. If you don't have the floor pulled up now maybe look at FAE as that should make it pretty much like an I/O with exhaust through the drive.

I did a lot of poking around on this near the end of last summer, as I'd love for my boat to be ultra quiet. Skidim does sell a couple of different in line mufflers same as these http://www.go2marine.com/product/97432F/silencer-ultimate-bullet-289.html#list-of-products that you can put in between the risers and the pipes, and you can still buy the cansister style here;http://inetmarine.com/xm-mas-s351mastercraft3standardsilentridermuffler.aspx but at the $600 they want for it, I'd want real numbers on how much difference it really makes. I think the FAE makes the most sense for muffler choices these days.

Don't bother with mufflers. Put a FAE on it.

Just following up on this, in case someone else ever runs into this situation, as I have some free time - I ended up having to call Skiers Choice and they provided me the item number for the mufflers and a cost. They could not sell directly to me (only dealers), but they have a great relationship with SkiDIM. SC told me to call SkiDIM and place an order with item number (special order for SkiDIM), but was way less then going through the dealer. SC and Ski DIM were both great to work with.

I am looking into a FAE system this year, hoping there is sale in the near future.
