Hi guys,

end of season I slammed through an underwater tree and wiped out my running gear. Rudder is done, but Shop here in Nashville screwed me on straightening the shaft and strut. Where can I source new (or used) and get back in the water this spring. Also seemed like a good time to upgrade the prop. What should I go with?

Thanks for the help

Jay

I have my old shaft out of my comp should fit yours. Only reason I had to take the shaft out was because when I redid my stringers I mounted the motor a 1" to far forward so I just bought a custom longer shaft instead of remounting engine. If you want the shaft you can have it for $75 shipped. As far as rudder and strut your best bet will be skidim.com they have everything you need.

Sorry no help here but what lake where you on, Old Hickory/Priest? Also what shop did you take your boat to? Just wanting to know if you would still recommend them or not, just incase I ever need some work.

Thanks guys. I will take the shaft. Send me your paypal and I will send the money in the morning. Skidem didn't list my strut. What is the angle. Is it 13?

have 89 conbrio
installed nettles 422 -4 blade prop last year!
what an improvement over original 3 blade!
quicker out of the hole, much smother at speed.
didn't appear to affect top end one way or other too much.
cost me 400.00 plus frt.
went to the 422 based on their advice after reviewing the boat/motor and specs etc

Thanks to everyone who helped. Everything up and running perfectly. The Nettles 422 prop is fantastic. Great punch out of the hole. A lot smoother and no loss of top end.
