Change tower feet pads? Really that difficult!!

I want to change the tower feet pads on my 21V. I purchased the new kind the shops use. Went to "attempt" it today and WTF! Why can't anything just be a simple change.

Does anyone know of the screws/bolts on the feet in the gunnels have nuts on them? The one I turned just kept turning so I knew it was going to be a PITA.

Can someone clue me in as to how I can easily change these pads?

They definitely have nuts on them. Pull your speakers out and you should be able to get your hand in there to get a wrench on the back. I need to do this too, so let me know how it goes and any pointers. How much were the new style pads?

The new pads were something like $21. I will try pulling the speakers and see how that goes, thanks.
