I am wanting to put a tower on my 92 Comp. Ideally I want to install a Indy tower, however I keep finding myself looking at Aerial towers. Does anybody have any experience, opinions on them?

I'd be curious to hear others input on this as well. I hope it's good because I already purchased one a few weeks ago! I went with the assault package, loaded with racks, speakers, and bimini. I did a lot of research and the general consensus was that they were pretty good. There were some complaints about rattles and rigidity, but there were few. Others that said they followed the installation instructions to a T with Loctite and torqueing everything properly did not have the same complaints. But fair warning if you go through h20sportswarehouse, they are backordered like crazy! I ordered it over 3 weeks ago and they told me just the other day that it will be late May early June before it arrives. They are having some pretty impressive deals though, and offering free shipping, which was inn the $250 range.

I just did a tower and was between Aerial and Big Air, I ended up going with Big Air but I can tell you that the two I was between were exactly the same, I just went with Big Air because they threw in racks. It's a strong tower, easy to install, and fold down, and good customer service. You'll like it for sure!

I know that's not the response you probably were looking for but my tower is just like theirs and when I called them to ask the difference they basically said nothing haha. Hope that helps a little.

The back order is one concern, however that is also why I am considering a aerial. Because I am growing impatient with waiting for the black powder coated tower to be in stock. I love the fact that Indy towers do not have the adjustable cross member at top that has bolts going through it after you adjust the width, also only 4 holes in my boat. I will have to check out Big Air

My friend has the loaded aerial on his Malibu. Seems like a decent budget-priced tower. Make sure to put loc-tite on everything or you'll constantly be at it with a wrench.

My buddy ordered an Aerial tower package last year and it was also back ordered. One month he got the speaker/light bar, one month he got the racks, and then a loooooong time after he got the tower. He was pretty heated. It was also black by the way.

I believe that if you go through big air and not another site that sells big air there will not be a back order. Also I have not had to tighten any screws yet, now I have not even out but 5-6 times and only boarded from it twice but the thing is solid. I've done pull-ups from mine and shook the tower to no end. I would recommend them to you for sure, but I don't think that you can go wrong with either. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Ok, he said he went through H2O and it was over 2 months. I would just call each and see what they say.

This photo from another forum member was the reason I ordered one a month ago. I ordered the aerial airborne in black as well from h2o sports. I would have to say that I have read several threads about lead times and in this day and age it is almost unheard of with the manufacturing processes and what not. Ordered it on April 1 and they told me 6 to 7 weeks. I kept going back to this photo and it fits the lines of the supra so well I had to choose. They even worked with me on the light bar speaker combo pricing as I wanted it all black as well. I didn't opt for the Bimini as I thought I would build one that matched the angle of the windshield looking down and have it slightly angle up in the back. I am super excited to get the boards out from under the front though!

i've had that same tower for a few years now. We have loved it. Had to tighten it up a few times, but nothing severe. I purchased mine through H20 in January and was delivered in a couple weeks. I don't have to lower mine, so can't comment on how easy that is. If someone pulls hard it may wiggle a little, but have not had any trouble with groaning around. Good Luck.

Well I pulled the trigger and ended up going with Big Air Cuda tower, I ordered it through wakeessentials.com. Told me they had them in stock and ready to ship out and for the price they sell their towers you can't beat it. hoping to get it by next week, and of course I will supply pictures when done. I ordered black powder coated w/Nav light. Now do I install forward or rear sweep?

Big Air Cuda tower came in the other day, did inventory and pre assembly last night. They sent me one bolt without the Allen wrench machined into the head, so hopefully they will get it shipped to me before the weekend so I can install.1410414105

My little helper, installing a tower by yourself is a pain in the ass! 14125

I have 86 Supra Ts6M. I put on a 1st gen Arial ascent tower. This is about the cheapest tower that you can buy in terms of money paid. Honestly, I have been pretty impressed with it. I have installed towers at a boat shop that I used to work at. I have done them for friends, and I have helped my father when we had custom towers built for our Nautiques. ( I have some experience) The mounting hardware was very solid and not at all sketchy. Its not perfectly engineered but I have used mine for two seasons and I am still impressed by the quality for the dollars. Its not a Cadillac but its a solid Chevy in my opinion. You can see how it looks at the end of the post on this thread: https://forum.supraboats.com/showthread.php?15768-TS6M-Stringer-Repair-pictures (https://forum.supraboats.com/showthread.php?15768-TS6M-Stringer-Repair-pictures)
