Boat Lift Questions

After 2 long years on the waiting list I finally scored a slip on my local lake. My questions are what brand is the best and what are the pros and cons of the tube style vs. the square style tanks? Should I look at used, if so how old is to old? How much $$ am I looking at for a good used one or new one? I have spent a week on the internet and I'm no closer to answering any of these questions. Thanks for any comments.

I am in the process of having a boat dock with a lift designed. I am meeting with my builder this weekend and I will ask him for you.

That would be great. I need the floating style, the marina dosn't allow the winching type because it puts to much weight on their dock. Any info on the floating type would be great. Thanks

I tried to get some information, but the dock builder only had information on permanent structures. If I come across something I will pass it on.
