Speedometer clean out question.

I have a 98 Legacy and was wondering what the best method would be to clean out the speedo lines to get them working again. Thanks!

I have cleaned my speedo tubes by pulling the tube off the back of the speedo head and also off the Petot unit that goes in the water, and then shooting compressed air through it. That has worked pretty well. My boat is a 1991 and I found that there were perforations in places along the tube possibly caused by stress, vibration and or age so this year I replaced the tubes altogether. The tubing is cheap and it is a relatively easy job. The Pitot unit that hangs off the back of the boat seems prone to picking up any junk that is in the water and I keep a piece of stiff wire on the boat to run through the inlet and outlet holes sometimes several times a day depending on where we are boating.
