Just took the boat to the lake and upon starting engine started ingesting water out the flame arrestor. Low hours and never overheated...any clues out there? Much appreciate any help!

How exactly did the motor ingest water out of the flame arrestor?? Please slowly re-read what you typed...

Lol sorry for the confusion. Ok, I backed the boat in and hit the key as always and she fired right up. After 5-10 sec of running water started pumping out of the breather (flame arrestor). I instantly shut it down. Checked the dipstick and there's water in the oil.
Was it the first run of the season?

Take some pics of your setup , idk how water is being pumped into your filter. Unless the engine is full of water and it went up the vent from valve covers . Witch at that point I would be more worried about engine .

Sounds like a cracked block or blown head gasket if there is water in the oil. That would be the only way for water to get into the air stream as well.
