OK it's time to put a fish finder on my 2008 Launch 24 Worlds. (don't judge me) :) My kids love to wakeboard and surf, I like to fish and my wife has killed the idea of a separate fishing boat so we have compromised. Put a fish finder on the Supra!

I don't want to drill into the dash so I am looking for a way to window mount a bracket for a hummingbird 898 series fish finder. Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm trying to picture the first time a fishing boat rolls up on you in a good fishing spot.

"Earl look! One of those damn waveboard boats! That sucker is in one of the best fishing spots just sitting there. I hate those guys............wait a second. Earl, he's got a fishing pole!!!!! Holy crap!!!! So...........do we say hi or flip him off? I'm confused."

:D

I've got an idea for the mount. Make your wife hold it. After a while she'll let you get another boat.

Lol! Fishing on a wakeboat that has vinyl all over it. It's your boat though so enjoy it.

You should probably just buy the fishing boat. Asking for forgiveness later is always easier than trying to get permission. :)

Just use a ram mount and plastic over all the seats like it was the 1950's

I just puked a little in my mouth. Fishing on a ski/wake boat is against everything I believe and love . Even worst than pulling tubes and power turning. Please don't do it.

Love the humor and feedback. I guess we are not a pure wakeboarding family. 3 weeks a year at lake powell on the houseboat is great fun, chilling with the kids when they are worn out from surfing and wakeboarding while catching a few strippers then making some amazing fish tacos not a bad thing. I was hoping there would be a few good ideas here.

What's the back of the fish finder look like?

Hope the worlds is not the all white interior like mine. Scales, worm guts, hooks and blood seem like buzz kills to any carpet or vinyl. A nice fishing boat and trailer only will set you back $2000.00. Much cheaper then the depreciation to the worlds you are about to unleash.

all joking aside, If i was you i would get a ram mount. They are for a multitude of different applications. And when i'm at powell in 2 weeks i may also catch a striper or 2. Nothin better than a fresh caught fish fry. Disclaimer, I only fish from the swim deck and no fish go in my boat and no i don't use bait!

Great pics, I don't put fish in the boat either. I looked at a Ram mount, just don't want to drill. I was hoping there was some kind of over the window mount or modification that could be make to keep the boat pristine. Thanks for the insight.
Have fun at the lake :)

I mounted mine to the drivers cupholder with a piece of all-thread and a couple of nuts jammed against each other. This is on an older boat, not sure how yours is layed out- I did not want to drill either! One hole in the bottom of the cupholder for the all-thread to pass through(there was already 4 others for drainage) and it can come off and no one will know it was ever there!

Put suction cups on that sucker like a windsheild GPS mount, run a cigarette light plug for power instead of a dedicated feed. Pull it out, plug it in, stick it in place.

Then you can remove it when we all see you and laugh.

" wakeboarding while catching a few strippers then making some amazing fish tacos not a bad thing."

I have tried catching strippers back when I was younger. My wife would rather me have a fishing boat than a stripper on my Supra. lol

Thanks for the ideas. Found a great mount http://www.rammount.com/NewProducts/RAMTOUGHCLAW/tabid/4945/Default.aspx
This allows me to clamp it to the tower arm just above the window. this with a ram mount that was suggest works great.
No fish are allowed in the boat, and we don't fish with bait.

For the humorists on this thread, I shared your posts with my wife and am now slowly moving her towards believing we need a fishing boat ;)
