I just bought a 2005 24 SSV and it has some decent stereo equipment in it. But, the head is not Bluetooth and it drives me nuts! The remote won't work (it needs registering or something) and we actually go to the back of the boat to skip tracks because it's just easier. It is a Kenwood CD with IPOD hook up.
Here is the question: Can I upgrade to a more modern head and still have the remote on the back of the hull? Will any Kenwood have a remote hook up (for the hull) or just the marine ones? What should I be looking for as features? How the heck do I register the hand held remote on the current system?
I appreciate any help you guys can offer. It has been my experience that to get answers you can skip the mechanic and go straight to the owners to find what you are looking for!14240
