I have a lot of questions so sue me!
How many gallons and how much weight do these hold?
I had 16, count them, 16 people in the boat last weekend and I really don't think the ballast bags made much more difference. So now I am curious about their specs.

That was only two questions...sorry I have no answer. However, I could easily see how adding ballast when you already have sixteen people in the boat not seeming to change the wake much.

Let's see, 120lbs times 16 is around 2000lbs of people. My 2005 was advertised with 3200lbs factory ballast, although I have not seen it actually spec'd anywhere. That should almost double the dry weight of the boat. With all those people are you sure you could still see the wake LOL?

Guess not as much as the salesman said. Here's a revue article that says 2000lbs...

Gravity III ballast in those came with 400lb bags in each rear locker and a 650lb bag in the ski locker I thought? Some of the smaller boats came with 400lb sacks in all 3 locations for a total of 1200lbs.

I thought it was a 650 if you don't have the playpen. 1180 bow of you have the playpen. Most factory ballast would be 1980. 1180+400+400.

If bought used, it's possible it has 750s or 1100s in the rear.

Wakeplate will also have an effect.
