Alternator

Over the weekend I noticed a whining sound coming from the engine. I'm assuming it's the alternator. It looks pretty tired. I did a search and it seems most people are going with the one wire from db electronics.

I'm leaning that way also. Is it a direct replacement or do I have to change the mounting on the engine. I know I need to run a fused 4 gauge wire to the starter or battery. Any tips

I installed a delco 1 wire on my pontoon simple direct fit.

You could always get it rebuilt...what is the cost on the DB one?

I'm going to get it rebuilt and keep it as a spare. The db is $69 delivered to my door. I believe I just have a bearing going bad but the sound is noticeable to me and it's eating my brain.
