Hi,
I recently p/u a '99 Santera with low hours. I has a 350 Indmar MPI which starts and runs great but after 30 min or so it putters out and dies as if starved from fuel. Thinking blockage of some sort I replaced both fuel filters, replaced the tank fitting, filled up a full tank of gas with Stabil and that didn't solve it. There is no strange whinning noise from the fuel pump but I haven't measured the fuel pressure at the rail which I will but in the meantime I'm considering replacing fuel pumps, starting with the low pressure pump just in case and if not resolved move to the high pressure pump. I'm hoping someone can help me identify a source for that hp pump with the fuel water separator mounted below.

Any ideas/suggestions? Can fuel system codes be pulled from the ecm? Thanks!

Best,
Sebastien

Check the breather screen. Lots of time it gets plugged with wax and or animals. It's a vent on the back or side of the boat. If that's plugged it won't be able to pull fuel

If you can get a sample of the fuel from the bottom of the gas tank after it has been sitting for a couple of days you can probably get it tested for water.
Is this the santera from reno?

Does anyone know if the Walters V-Drive Oil Pressure Switch is somehow wired to the fuel pump on the '99 and could a low oil pressure signal from the v-drive be the cause of my problems? Just read a similar thread on the Moomba bb but that was on a newer boat. Thanks!

That low oil switch will put a boat into safe mode. I read an article that says you can disconnect it or jump it.
