Hi Guys,
I spent a bit of time building a basic '80s era wiring diagram. It's more of a schematic than a wiring diagram, but I work more as a concept guy so this is my preferred representation for quick troubleshooting. I made it for myself and laminated it in plastic to keep on the boat. It's available to anyone to do with whatever you like. If anyone notices any omissions or mistakes ( I didn't bother with the distributor) please by all means let me know. The image quality isn't all that good the way I've posted it, but if you would like the PDF PM me with your email and I'll send you the file.

I've just attached an updated diagram, the previous one makes the starter solenoid self latching, not a good thing. The new one reflects how I've wired my boat, you could do it as per the old diagram but you would have to insert a diode between the coil and the solenoid.
