I just purchased my first Supra last week, and I am new to fresh water boating. I have only been on salt water sail boats.

I have restrictions in my neighbourhood, and cannot have my boat on visible on my property for more than a couple of days. That being said, I purchased a slip for the season. However, the slip is not capable of having a boat lift. Will it be okay to leave the boat in the water for weeks at a time? I know with sail boats we would leave the boat in the water for months, and then wash the hull maybe every 12-18 months.

Thanks!

You can leave your boat in the water for as long as you want. The only downside is alge growth on the bottom. You can paint the bottom with antifouling paint or take it out from time to time to clean it. The bottom on my boat is not painted so I use a product called Zing to clean the bottom on my boat -- works like magic.

I would also suggest installing an automaitc switch on your bilge pump just to be safe.
