1453214533145342002 supra launch ss, indmar, efi. 350 hours. Couple years ago it would shut off as soon as you tried to idle. Mechanic fixed but then started grey white smoke and idled high enough it throws off a wake. Had them try to fix with no success. This spring it wouldn't start. New mechanic said that there was water in the fuel and drained tank and replaced pump and filters. Hard to start but once it started it would run fine. Mechanic installed new tps and adjusted choke and it then started fine but still has smoke. Giving up on mechanics and today I replaced the plugs. One was black to the top of threads and harder to remove than the others but all were pretty black ( will attempt picture later). Also noted oil is well above full mark on dipstick but doesn't look milky or that water is in it. After replacing the plugs it takes a couple key turns to get started. Any assistance appreciated. The exhaust smoke smells like oil or gas and is leaving a small film on top the water.

Sounds like its running rich . Is the oil full of gas? What engine and injection system do you have?
