This oughtta be interesting.
Can someone show me where to find video of how to get up from the water to the board (or start?)
I have found a million videos of people surfing, but they always start after the person is on the board.
I jut bought an LF 5.3 and want to try it out this weekend?

Do you know how to get up on a wake board? It's the same with the only difference being your not strapped in so have the board laying flat with your heals toward the edge of the board and when you go to take off just give the board a down ward pressure with your heal to raise the front edge and then it is just like getting up on a wake board.
Hope that made sense.

Float on your back with your heels on the board and toes point straight up. Have someone idle the boat forward to put tension on the line, and push your heels straight down. The board will flip up and sit flat against the bottom of your foot and you'll be in a "wakeboard starting position" so to speak. Hit the throttle, let your butt slide to the board, let the board come out of the water, THEN stand up. Don't try to stand up too soon.

If you're falling over the front, you're trying to muscle yourself up. Let the boat do the work. Shouldn't take much to get out of the water. Some of the girls I teach to surf are already up before I even hit the gas because they're so little. Lots of surface area under a surfboard to help you get up.

The guys at Wake9.com are really good for providing solid instructions to start.

They've got 101 level videos, and then did some 201-level videos for some more advanced maneuvers.
