I needed to change my solinoid for the sprinkler valve but can't figure out how to get the old wire out of the harness plug? Should be simple and it's the male end but I'm having trouble figuring it out. If you look down the male end there is a small green piece of plastic the I tried pushin but it didn't release the wires. Any help here would really be appreciated. Ty!

Pull the rubber out of the back and then use small pick to pull green lock out and then the wires should come out . Or you can just cut them and re splice

The coil on the solenoid unscrews from the valve body. If the coil is still good then just reuse it on the new valve. Not sure how to pull the pins on that style connector. You can get pin extractor tool from Radio Shack and try. They come in a couple of different sizes. Personally I would just cut the wires at the old coil, strip, solder onto the new coil and heat shrink each connection then wrap the pair of wires in heat shrink tubing. You can put a small amount of silicone in the heat shrink prior to heating to make it water tight.

I'm just splicing mine with a butt splice. Made by the company I work for.
That Deutsche connector had a tpa or terminal protection device that has to be removed before you can un mate it. Unless you buy the solenoid from Supra with that connector installed you are going to have to cut wires and splice anyway.
You can find that connector onthe Deutsch web site under automotive if you want to see how the tpa works.
