I'm re-installing and replacing hardware on my teak swim platform. Do I need to place a drop of 3M 4200 on screws as I re-install? Seems like there was something there before when I took the old hardware out.

Yes all the way seal it up as if you were sealing a intake on a engine !

Thanks, that's what I thought.
You have me a little cautious with the 'intake' reference. You're not saying line a bead of 4200 on the brackets also - are you?!?
My thought was only to line the screws with 4200 (like applying Loc-tite on bolts) and re-thread in to deck. Job complete...

Well better safe than sorry . I put it on my bolts and brackets and just smooth it out
