1987 Comp Cavitation Plate Mounting

Can anyone fill me in on what the 20 cavitation plate screws attach to on the other side of the hull on a 1987 Comp? Is there a fiber wrapped piece of wood on the far back of the floor between the stringers? My plate came off the other day, and I'm assuming the backing board inside the boat is rotted out. Just trying to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into before I start digging into it.

Probably a full cap off restoration if you're digging in that area.

Lol yes there is wood that's glassed into the floor . You could through bolt it with big fender washers and 5200
