$10,000 Come get it!

Well here is the situation.... The property next to my shop just went up for sale and I need to buy it. Like I told my wife, they make new boats every day and they aren't making any more land next door. I'm asking $14,900. I have about that invested without labor costs and I think it's a fair price for what it is. Pass the word and let me know if you are interested.

Long story short ...... I really wanted a wakesurf boat. I then I realized that having a mortgage on a boat was out of the question. Modern surf boats go from $40k to over $100k!!

Research ensued and I decided that building myself a wake surfing boat was a plausible option.

This Supra Sunsport is a 19.5' deep v inboard ski boat that shares the hull design of the modern wakeboard boats. This hull shape is also very good for wake surfing due to the high freeboard (doesn't sit low in the water). This allows the use of heavy ballast systems without the fear of swamping over the bow or stern.

Over the last year I have spent countless hours and a lot of money restoring and modifying this boat. I built it to surf and wakeboard and to spend time with my family and teach my young boys how to enjoy watersports as much as I do. Every aspect of this build was thought out and planned extensively.

My intention was to keep the boat for about 10 years then upgrade. This summer I have enjoyed the boat and logged about 30hrs on it. Recently a financial issue has come up and now I need the money more than the boat so a decision was made.

I have enjoyed every aspect of building this boat and the end result was everything I had hoped for. I am sad to sell her but tough times come to all.

Do you have picture of the engine compartment?
Also, do you have links to your build progress on this forum?

No, I just clicked through your album, the word is "insane". Reminds me of my '82 jaguar rebuild, that I would never attempt again.
Anyways, I see you did something with transmission, was it rebuilt?
I suppose the motor was freshened up, but not gone through?

Velvet drive is working fine now. A spare 1:1 complete trans will be included.

I am looking for a trouble free, inexpensive boat, looking at one tomorrow, but so far nothing but clowns.
Hard part is I am 400 miles away in Ohio.

Inexpensive and trouble free usually don't come together. I have nothing to hide on this one, and I would even be willing to travel if your serious. Maybe I can take her out on the lake this week and shoot a video for you.

Video would be nice, even if you add it to eBay for other potential buyers.
Will let you know, have to look at one more locally, but it is closed bow.
BTW, does your driver seat have no back for a reason?

Of all the boats I've ever driven I have never sat down in the seat. I always drive from my knees. Bench with no back works great! And it makes moving around inside that much easier. Excellent storage underneath also.

400 miles is nothing for the right boat. You're going to have it for a long time, what does it matter if it takes you an extra 2-days just to pick it up.
