My starboard rear ballast bag has a leak at the hose connection. There is a female threaded plastic flange that is "welded" to the bag material. This weld is the point where it is leaking. If you've encountered this or talked to someone who has, I'm looking for some suggestions on how to fix it. I'd hate to have to get a new bag for one small leak.

if the leak truly is between the sac material and the welded in threaded port, then odds are, you need a new sac. Talk with Fly High, they will likely tell you its un-repairable.

I agree. If you removed the fitting, I'm not sure what you could do if you had access to the inside to fix a leak by that black flange.

Could you try to put adhesive/cement on the inside of the flange w/o getting it all over the threads?

I have covered mine with silicon pretty heavy and spread out to the edge of the rim of the bag.

Thanks for the link! I'll try that 5200 - just need to get through one more weekend this year!

So far so good with the 5200. I got two days in with it fixed like this before winterization with no leaks.
