Hopefully this post works, unlike the last one. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has had problem with the gauges on their legacy. We have a 99 and 00 legacy and both have had to be in the shop for a new computer chip. The 00 was in twice this past summer, and the 99 was in once. They were out of commision for a total of 3 months combined, equal to about our summer. Is supra doing anything other than just replacing these, becuase that doesnt' seem to be working!

Unfortunately, the problem exists inside the MDC (brainbox) itself. The unit, made by Kysor/Medallion, a branch of BorgWarner, has finally established a new MDC that is fault free. This unit was introduced in Sept. There were many issues with this good idea system, which is why Skiers Choice has gone back to the analog gauges. The best way for you to get a hold and least inconvenient method for you to obtain one of these boxes is: 1. Contact your dealer and let them know of your situation. 2. The MDC unit is located behind the aft storage gas tank cover on the stbd. side. There is a bar coded # on the outside of the unit, make sure to have this readily available for the dealer. 3. Have the dealer contact Kysor/Medallion with that info, to obtain a replacement box.4. When the new unit arrives to the dealer, have him ship it to you, it is a very easy job to do (the labor will be unwarranted, but will cut down on days at the shop.) 5. Ship the old box with your hull # and all owner info. back to the dealership. If further issues occur, or problems with the procedure, contact: [email protected] Raymond
