I have a "new to me" 2008 22 SSV and the steering pulls really hard to the right. It doesn't look like anything is damaged. The only adjustment I've read about is grinding the rudder but I'm wondering if there is anything else to fix it? I can't see how grinding could correct this amount of pull. Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds like someone maybe replaced the rudder, so it wouldn't look damaged but it hasn't been tuned properly. And by tuned, yes, I mean grinding. Actually I should say "filing" because it's better to do with a file, so you don't take off very much material. It's surprising how little you need to do to make a big effect at the wheel. If you search "inboard rudder tuning" there are even some helpful threads on this forum... but anyway read up on it and try it - a little at a time.

Of course, this is after you look for obvious things like bent fins, bent strut.
