It is basically a tram for a boat and operates much like a railroad track. The tracks extend about 30 ft into the water at winter pool and the cart holding the boat on bunks like a regular boat trailer is pulled up tracks with a winch and cable. The rails cost about the same as a double lifting dock and they are basically there forever vrs a dock and can't beat year around dry storage. They are pretty common on my lake Pickwick and depending on the terrain can be built by yourself. My fathers place had a gentle sloping bank and we just made sections and floated them out using floats.
