Family vacay to Lake Hamilton - Any local suggestions?

My wife's family has a timeshare on Lake Hamilton that we are finally going to use there instead of trading it for a week at Disneyworld. Finally a boating vacation! I know very little about the area so looking for ANY feedback including Lake Hamilton (good ride spots, good hanging out spots, boat-up restaurants), other nearby lakes worth checking out, etc. It's just us and our 3yr old daughter and almost 2yr old son so riding will be limited but I plan on putting them on a tube with one of us and pulling slow just for fun.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
