Well I just got off the phone with Ryan over at GoSurfAssist and he had just got off the lake testing the new tabs on my boat. He told me I am not going to believe how awesome this wave is! He also told me had just ran it with both rear 750s full and 1200 center full and didn't see any need to add more weight. I can tell you that Ryan has been outstanding to deal with! He also installed the new Supra surf swim platform for me. Unfortunately I don't get back to the states until 14 June, but Ryan did say he was going to try and get some GoPro footage of the wave tomorrow and put a video together. He did send me some pictures which I will share with you. I can't wait to see it in person!http://i.imgur.com/7QLdxuv.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/3ilcSPH.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/AWYqrrV.jpg

I want to do this to my 05 21V. Any idea if the surf platform fits directly or do you have to modify brackets? Also, does anybody know when I can actually order the surf system. It seems they have not started shipping yet?

$4000 is a little bit too steep for me. I'm going to have to see what else is out there.....

Its not cheap but is less expensive than the option on a new boat or a new boat with a surf system.
I can also tell you that it works much better than any factory installed surf system as well.
So in my book worth every penny.........

I completely agree with you Swamplandkarl. Yes $4000 is not a small amount of money, but in comparison to the price of a newer boat with a OEM Surf system it is much more reasonable. I have yet to use mine yet, but just by looking at the video I am very pleased with the outcome. Its going to be really weird not having to list the crap out of the boat to get a wave.

I cant seem to find anywhere to purchase this. I have emailed a few times and nobody is responding. How can I go about getting this for my 21V?

can you contact some of the guys who have recently installed this and see if they have an inside contact? "ryan from gosurfassist" is one name i keep seeing. there are some recent threads that i remember seeing on the different forums which may give you some contact info, or a forum member who can steer you in the right direction. have you tried wakemakers as well?

Looks good! Now if a guy in Minnesota could get that for his 21v. I see website says coming soon but summer is half over up here. I would love to hear your review of the setup.

So is the '06 21V different in the back than the 24SSV? I've been trying to look and see if it's worth calling Ryan about an install but I just can't see where it would mount on the 24. There's too many little steps in he hull it seems like.
The pictures posted on page 1 are too dark to see anything but the tabs. Im curious to see how they're mounted on the 21V if you have any daytime pics closer up on the hinges. Thanks!

Thought I would share some pictures of the surf wave. This photo is with just one person in the boat (the driver) both rear 750s filled and center 1250 filled. The wave was amazing and the boat ran almost level and I was able to ride it way back in the pocket.http://i.imgur.com/MBHB805.png

And here are a couple of the Go Surf Assist setup. It is a night and day difference. It is so nice not having to slam one side of the boat. I had a lot of compliments on the wave out on the lake. People couldn't believe how clean the wave was and how level the boat was able to run.http://i.imgur.com/KSOTlu6.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/RbRbbGv.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/1oeJluj.jpg

With this system do you still deploy the tab on the opposite side you're surfing?

Rakkasanscout187
07-27-2015, 12:58 PM
Correct. Pressing the Surf Left button will deploy the right surf tab. It also has its own GPS so if you forget to reset the tabs and you take of the tabs will automatically reset at 15mph. They also do not affect the wakeboard wake at all.

Thanks...I tried to figure it out on their website, but they don't explain the system much.

Nice wave! And that is a gorgeous boat! Love the colors :)

Did you have to install the new style platform?

Rakkasanscout187

I didn't have too, but figured it would compliment the GoSurfAssist tabs. The old style platform has a lip on the bottom of it that would drag in the water. Plus I think the new style platform makes the entire boat look more up to date.

I like the "lines" of the new platform, I just wish it was a bit wider (full width of the boat like the old one). Not sure if that would end up causing the same problem as the old one though.

I haven't really looked into the wash/problem that was reported with the old platform.

You probably already know this but you can purchase from WakeMakers now.

This looks great... especially considering you have the 21v, which isn't really a traditionally great surfing boat to start with. I want one of these systems.

hope you have 4 grand sitting around!

there's a guy on another forum who made his own recently and it looks to work awesome for the $400 he has into it. you could even add a really good control system (search martinarcher on themalibucrew.com) and still be way ahead of the price that GSA wants.

Yeah.. really doesn't look too complicated if you have the ability to weld/bend some stainless steel. Is that was these tabs are made from, or are they aluminum? A lenco trim tab system can be had for like 400-600 bucks. Modify the the tabs a bit, and the mounting locations and you're well on your way to a surf system. The software is the big bonus there...
