1986 Sunsport Skier Alternator Wiring

I have an '86 Sunsport with a 351w and am in need of information on where the charging lead off the alternator is hooked up in the rear of the engine. Looks like it gets connected to the 40 amp fuse, but I'm not sure. I did not disconnect it, or I would know where it goes.

The hot lead on the back of the alt is attached to the battery positive post. I goes to the 40 amp fuse then to the battery using the main battery lead.
