Ski pylon extension or barefoot boom?

Got these two poles from the previous owner of the my supra saltare and have no idea what or how to use them he thought it was a ski pylon extension which I would use but I'm not sure if its that or a barefoot boom and how to hook it up or if I'm missing parts.

Just guessing but it looks like a boom to me. If those are the only parts you have you're missing the part that clamps on the pylon and poles insert into.

Yep, thats a straight boom, as Cadunkle has stated though, the pole clamp is missing.
