Wake plate gauge malfunction

I have a 2003 22ssv launch with beede gauges. The wake plate gauge is inop. How do I check if it's a power problem, the connection to the plate problem, or a guage failure.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Not sure if your boat is the same set up as the 08's but for mine there is a set of circuit breaker boxes under the dash and all the way on the right looking towards the bow (but then left since you will inevitably be laying on the floor looking up at it) you remove the plastic cover and push in the correct breaker. They're all labeled and will say which unit operates on that circuit. This happens to mine all the time.
